  1. Avoid picking at your skin. Not every whiteheads or blackheads will be extracted during your treatment, and that is because they are not ready to come out. Continue to pick at it will cause irritation and potential scarring.

  2. Limit sun exposure when possible. Your skin has just been exfoliated so it is more sensitive and vulnerable to the sun’s harmful rays. We always apply SPF at the end of every treatment to ensure your skin is protected on your way home, but we still recommend you limit sun exposure whenever possible, and/or reapply SPF every two hours.

  3. Limit heavy makeup. Your skin had just went through a deep cleanse, so your pores are open and susceptible to more bacteria. Avoid putting on makeup for the rest of the day and allow serums, creams, or peels to fully absorb into the skin and work its magic.

  4. Skip the gym or sauna. Increased heat in the skin and sweat can be irritating, increase sensitivity of the skin, and lead to broken capillaries. If you must workout, it is best to do it before your facial.
